I'd check the light grounds first though. And I checked it I was getting 11.9-12.2 at all rpms but never had issues. Edit 2: Apparently the flicker is caused by a bad rectifier in the alternator, which is not always replaced when an alternator is rebuilt. I pulled to the side and it never came back on. MPA’s (Motorcar Parts of America) expert Bob Felix will show you some simple diagnostic tests to find the true source of the issue. Loose or dirty battery cables check both cables both ends. The battery light is on but the voltmeter says 13.5 to 14.5 volts depending on the engine revs. Cool. Also check and make sure your cable ends are clean and tight. I have taken it back to pepboys a couple times they said they could never find the problem ( once the cars stopped and parked for a few minutes the battery light goes away like nothing happened) and that its a wire issue and they can’t fix that.
